This is a great opportunity to join the Computing and Business Department in a highly successful academy. Computer Science, Creative Media and Business are very popular subjects at GCSE. The department is well-resourced and has a dedicated team of experienced colleagues who are committed to ensuring the highest possible learning experience for the students at Moor End Academy.
The Computing and Business Department currently consists of three full time teachers and an administrative assistant. Computing is part of the core curriculum in years 7 – 9 and is taught as a discrete subject. In years 10 and 11 students follow AQA GCSE computer science, Edexcel GCSE Business, BTEC enterprise, creative digital media and digital IT. The department is committed to teaching computing and business concepts and issues through high quality and exciting lessons and learning strategies.
