Are you a Teacher of the Deaf or a mainstream teacher who would be interested in teaching deaf children?

Are you committed to helping young people to stay healthy, safe and prepare for life and work in modern Britain? Are you a qualified Teacher of the Deaf?

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is a qualified Teacher of the Deaf (preferable but not essential)
  • Enjoys teaching Science and computing
  • Has SEN experience
  • Has enthusiasm and commitment
  • Is able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills

Braidwood is a very successful secondary school for Deaf young people in purpose built accommodation.

Our young people come from across the Midland region and across the full academic spectrum. 

We pursue a Total Communication approach which means we fit our methods of communication to the needs of each learner. 

If you do not currently have Teacher of the Deaf status or BSL skills, we will provide you with all the support you need to obtain them.
