Teacher of Computing

About the role: We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Computing who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students in this curriculum area. Applications are welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as we can offer fantastic professional development at every stage of a teacher’s career.

The ideal candidate will join us from September 2021 and have both the commitment and ability to enthuse and motivate our students to ensure excellent progress is made by all. They will be a dynamic teacher who encourages a love for the subject through both their teaching and their involvement in co-curricular offers. The successful candidate should have a genuine passion for the subject, the ability to be an outstanding teacher and be committed to raising achievement, raising aspirations and going the extra mile. Working at Leigh Academy Blackheath: We are a co-educational 11-18yr comprehensive school and, already oversubscribed, our new school is a beacon of excellence for secondary education in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Being a part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have one further secondary academy in the development phase, due to open in September 2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
