Job overview
We are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and creative teacher to join this large, thriving department. The department offers A levels in Computer Science and IT and the BTEC Extended Diploma in IT.
You will wish to play a full part in the continuing development of courses within the team. The postholder will deliver A level Computer Science and A level and BTEC IT. The Sixth Form Colleges Teachers Pay Spine applies (£22,709 - £37,984)

The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a sixth-form college for 16- to 19-year-olds in the town of Solihull, West Midlands. The college has more than 2,200 students. The large majority of courses are A-levels, but vocational courses are also available.
Founded in 1974, the college boasts extensive sport facilities, as well as a library containing tens of thousands of books and digital resources. The Sixth Form College, Solihull has official links with a number of other educational institutions, including secondary schools and universities, via the Specialist Academies project.

The Sixth Form College, Solihull emphasises flexible study, with students having the freedom to select a wide variety of subjects in any combination. The college provides extensive support for students completing Extended Project Qualifications, as well as offering a number of BTEC and CACHE courses to supplement this. As part of the college’s ethos of academic flexibility, extra-curricular activities are also well supported, with many of these leading to additional rewards and qualifications, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
