Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Vocational Teacher of  Construction on a part-time basis from January 2022. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

This role is 3 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large special school for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex needs. The school currently have 385 pupils on roll aged between the ages of 2 and 19 and has been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted in their last three inspections.

The school is an active member of a renowned trust and also enjoy being a partner school of Kent Special Education Needs Schools Trust and take a national perspective on SEN and PSCN via their chosen membership of Challenge Partners group. The trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (15 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 2,500 talented staff. The trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.

"This unique opportunity would allow you to lead the curriculum delivering BTEC and Ascentis qualifications to very small groups of students aged 14-19. We are looking for an experienced practitioner with the passion, knowledge and skills to deliver Entry Level 2 - Level 1 qualifications to young people with a range of special educational needs including Autism. You will need to have enthusiasm and patience to personalise learning and have the communication skills needed to collaborate with a range of stakeholders including awarding body reviewers."
