Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
The Level 3 Criminology course was introduced in September 2019 so we now seek additional Teachers as the second cohort of students starts and the department expands. It is an opportunity to join us early in the development of what is rapidly becoming a dynamic and successful teaching department.
Candidates will be graduates of Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Law or an allied subject. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers wanting to work either full or part time. Most importantly, they will be enthusiastic about the subject and able to share that passion with our students.
We are also looking for teachers in the other growth areas of Sociology, Psychology and Law, planning to interview candidates for all of these subjects on one of two days: 11 and 12 March 2020. Please make it clear in your application whether you wish to be considered for any other subjects in addition to Criminology and if you wish to work full or part time.
Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2020 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 25 August 2020. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
Closing date: 12 noon on Tuesday 25 February 2020
Interview date: 11 or 12 March 2020
