Members of the team are totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. At Key stage 4 and Key stage 5, Technology subjects are a very popular choice, with courses in Design & Technology, Textiles, Food and Construction offered.

Camborne Science & International Academy is a consistently high performing state secondary school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall.  The staff and students are friendly, dynamic and innovative and in an independent survey parents judged us to be outstanding for exam results, discipline, teaching quality, facilities and leadership/management.

Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China and South Korea.  Recent collaborations have involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in this amazing and unique programme.

The school runs an extensive Duke of Edinburgh programme offering; Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. We also annually enter the Ten Tors event. These programmes are open to all members of staff

We are delighted to have opened the doors to NEXUS, CSIAs Centre of Excellence for STEM and Liberal Arts (PPE). The aim is to develop young learners who are able to pick and choose from the best courses at the very best universities worldwide; young people who have a wealth of research experience from working with some of the best academics in their field of interest. These young people will be amongst those who devise the solutions for the most pressing problems faced by mankind, and Nexus will equip them for this bright future.  For candidates who are able to inspire and challenge the most able, there is a unique opportunity to teach highly engaged and enthusiastic pupils through the bespoke curriculum delivered at Nexus. Nexus is situated on a separate, state-of-the-art campus that provides a unique programme to approximately 200 gifted students with many joining from schools throughout West Cornwall. The programme offers students a chance to thrive and shine in their chosen field of study through a bespoke curriculum. Successful candidates would also be invited to participate in a rich co-curricular programme that complements the curriculum and develops the students so that they are able to achieve their potential. The Nexus campus is also the home of Cornwall School of Maths and Science (CSMS), a specialist provision for VI Form.

Applications from experienced colleagues and Newly Qualified Teachers are equally welcome. We have an outstanding NQT Induction programme to offer support to new staff. The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
