We are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified graduate to contribute to the teaching within this highly successful department. The post is equally suitable for an NQT (potentially starting in Sept 2020) or more experienced colleague looking for a new challenge. We welcome applicants who are keen to work with high achieving and ambitious students. Teachers with experience in the non-selective sector are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be expected to teach across all Key Stages, with a specialism in Product Design. The department team is highly motivated and frequently achieves above national benchmarks. The department is well resourced, with a full time technician, a good range of CAD/CAM equipment, and plans are being prepared for moving into specialist Design & Technology facilities in the near future. The department has a range of innovative projects that address the new GCSE over a 5 year plan from Y7 to Y11. The appointee would be expected to contribute towards further developing and refining of these resources. Students have high aspirations in the subject.
