About Nonsuch High School for Girls

Nonsuch is a popular and very successful girls’ selective school standing in 22 acres of beautiful grounds on the edge of Nonsuch Park. We aim to provide a caring, happy and stimulating environment in which students are encouraged to attain the highest levels of academic and personal achievement. Our community is richly diverse and multicultural, and we give every student, every opportunity, to achieve her best.

Our school is positive, supportive and a place where learning is a pleasure. Staff, governors and parents work in partnership with the common goal of developing students into independent, high-achieving young women. Students relish their opportunities for learning and benefit from an exciting curriculum and excellent facilities. The wide range of creative, spiritual, cultural and sporting activities within the school and our close links with the local and wider community provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

We have excellent facilities, including well-equipped ICT suites, a music suite, an astronomy dome, drama studios, a Sixth Form Centre and airy art studios. Students enjoy PE in the huge sports hall, and benefit from the all-weather floodlit hockey pitch, extensive playing fields, and tennis and netball courts; they also have access to the indoor heated swimming pool within the David Lloyd Health and Fitness Centre. Our site includes woodland, meadow and pond ecology areas.

Our school has Specialist Science and Language status. The Science Department has 11 modern laboratories with excellent resources to support the teaching of science. The Languages Department offers modern and classical languages at all Key Stages and benefits from a digital language laboratory and language assistants.
