PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ which places inclusion and well-being at its heart. We currently have two schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, and Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019 and will comprise Years 7 – 11 from September 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational.

Following the success of our first ever Ofsted inspection at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls, we are looking for dedicated teachers that will join us on our journey in delivering an outstanding education for all our students. Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of Design & Technology with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching, an individual that will become an integral part of the department, who will support the department in achieving its ambitious targets and goals. We would like a teacher who believes in collaboration both for students and when working with colleagues. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to extra-curricular activities within the department as well as the pastoral life of the school as a form tutor.

 

 

We are looking for a teacher who has:

·        A genuine aptitude for teaching Design & Technology, which is clearly demonstrated in the classroom

·        Has multiple skills within design technology and can confidently teach across Product Design, Textiles, CAD/CAM, Food Preporation and Nutrition at KS3 with a specialism at KS4

·        Willingness to learn new or unfamiliar areas of Design and Technology

·        A proven record of delivering high-quality lessons resulting in excellent outcomes.

·        Ability to work within and add value to an already highly effective, creative, and motivated team. 

·        The ability to develop and constantly modify exceptional practice in-line with a continually changing climate. 

·        A desire to further raise overall achievement and success of Design & Technology within the school.

All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, along with other relevant employment checks, including overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction, which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
