Bartholomew School

Teacher of Design and Technology: Product Design (TMS)

“Bartholomew School provides its students with an outstanding education” OFSTED

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher of Design & Technology to join our successful team from January or February 2022, on a full-time or part-time basis. We are looking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic teacher of D&T Product Design. Whilst we would be especially interested to hear from those who have experience in teaching Textiles, this is not essential for the role.

The large D&T department is a very important part of the school. Commanding two hours a week of curriculum time throughout KS3, the subject remains popular at KS4 and KS5 where students attain well whilst enjoying excellent learning experiences.

Bartholomew School is a friendly and vibrant comprehensive school of over 1300 students situated in the village of Eynsham, between Oxford to the east and the Cotswolds to the west. Judged Outstanding by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on having the highest of academic expectations for our students within a caring and nurturing environment.

It is central to our vision that people enjoy their time with us and we do everything that we can to ensure that a positive school environment promotes development of staff and students alike. We offer the successful candidate a commitment to providing excellent professional development and support in developing their career. This will be a key appointment for our continued success.

The EPA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Successful candidates will be required to undertake and receive a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service check as well as attending safeguarding training as part of this role.
