TEACHER OF DESIGN (Food)

MPS

JANUARY 2020 (or later for a suitable candidate)

We require a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join the Design Department.  You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and have a passion for working with young people.  You will have excellent subject knowledge, with the ability to teach food preparation and nutrition up to a minimum of key stage 4.  The ability to teach health and social care and/or Textiles would be an advantage.  The post is full-time although we can be flexible if part-time is preferred.

The Design Department offers a range of courses at GCSE and A Level in specialised and well-resourced accommodation.  It is a vibrant and dynamic team providing all learners with an exciting range of experiences.

We can offer excellent working conditions, and a supportive environment at one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country.  The superb facilities include an on-site nursery and a sports complex with subsidised membership for staff.

Further details and an application form are available on the school website (www.thomas-hardye.net). Please send your letter of application together with a completed application form to Mrs Anita Biles (Headteacher’s PA) by the deadline:  midday Friday 18th October 2019

The Thomas Hardye School is committed to Equal Opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
