Bishop Young C of E Academy is a thriving and highly successful 11-16 Church of England convertor Academy which serves the community of East Leeds. We are part of Abbey Multi Academy Trust and share in the Trust mission to work In Partnership to 'Educate, Nurture and Empower'.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic, and forward-thinking Teacher of Design Technology (Ideal for Food specialist but all areas will be considered.) to join our busy and vibrant department. Applicants must be able to inspire our students, be an excellent role model, teach across the ability range and contribute to a team focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for students across the 11-16 age range. Applicants must be willing to contribute to the wider life of the Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and passionate teacher to join a successful and CPD focused department where new initiatives are welcomed and encouraged.

As a Teacher of Design Technology, we will nurture, challenge, and support you throughout your career here at Bishop Grange Academy.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is:

•  A routinely good/outstanding teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 aspects of Design Technology, ECT's welcome.

•  This role would be ideal for Food specialist, but all areas of Design Technology will be considered.

•  A colleague looking to either start or further your career within a supportive team.

•  Able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential.

•  Inspirational to colleagues and students - sharing best practice.

    You will be:

•   Someone who will support the Trust’s Christian ethos as well as our shared mission and values
