Teacher of Design Technology/Food

We are seeking a dynamic teacher who is willing to add experience to the Design Technology Department as well as contribute fully to the outstanding extra-curricular programme on offer at SAIntS. You will be working within the
Creative Arts Faculty under an experienced Head of Faculty. Should you be sufficiently experienced then you may be considered for the position of Head of Department.

The two year contract offered includes a very competitive salary, gratuity payments, 50% Medical Aid, flights at the start and end of contract, free housing, school fees (junior or senior) and a 13th cheque at the end of each year. Applicants for this post must be suitably qualified with a relevant degree and teaching qualification. The ability to teach design technology to A2 and experience of teaching food technology are highly desirable.

About St Andrews International High School

St Andrew’s International High School is a mixed, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding in Malawi, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Blantyre has over 500 students on record, from over 30 different nationalities. 

St Andrew’s International High School welcomed its first pupils in 1938. The secondary school follows the British curriculum, adapted to a Malawian context. In Year 9, students work towards their IGCSE exams or BTEC level 2 qualifications, followed by A levels or BTEC level 3. The school holds title as the first BTEC School in Africa. Facilities include a recording studio, radio station, library, swimming pool, sports courts and dedicated teaching blocks.
