Are you passionate about teaching DT? Looking for an innovative and forward-thinking school which genuinely invests and develops you? Then come and join us at Elizabeth Woodville School.
We are currently looking to appoint a Teacher of Design Technology who would like to work with and contribute to the development of highly motivated students. The ideal candidate will have a real passion for their subject and the ability to bring new ideas to engage, inspire and enthuse our students in their DT lessons.

You will join our forward thinking, student-focused and talented team - we work hard, but we work smart and we always work together. We are well resourced, with a wealth of material prepared in-house for the new specifications, and we are always looking to improve and ‘raise the bar’.
This position is available to both newly qualified and more experienced colleagues. Regardless of experience, you will benefit from excellent CPD, a strong induction program and an array of opportunities to expand on your existing skills set.
Benefits - there are many attractive benefits to working at EWS, including:
• On-site parking and a rural location

Elizabeth Woodville School is an inclusive comprehensive school with approximately 1100 students. Elizabeth Woodville is part of Tove Learning Trust which is a rapidly growing trust whose vision is to ensure that all pupils in the trust academies are provided with outstanding educational experiences that lead to outstanding outcomes. This includes all aspects of school life with pupils achieving to the very best of their ability.
Our school is located on two sites, Roade and Deanshanger. We operate as one school with staff working across both sites, however the successful candidate will be based at one site only. There are however many benefits to us being on two sites, including access to excellent sporting facilities, a broad and balanced curriculum with a range of options to choose in key stage 4 and good quality staff. The most important benefit for our students is that each site has an excellent pastoral system which means that all students are known, and no one becomes just a number. Our ambition is to create an exciting and vibrant learning community where students enjoy success in and outside of the classroom. Our school values of: ambition, confidence, curiosity, leadership and respect are important as they are qualities which will enable our students to succeed whatever their future ambitions.
We believe that all staff and pupils should be treated with respect and have built a culture based on respect for each other, resilience to meet new challenges and take responsibility for our actions and our learning. Our recent Ofsted report confirms that we are going in the right direction and that we have a clear understanding of what we need to improve and how to improve.
The governors of Elizabeth Woodville School and the Trustees of Tove Learning Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo Enhanced DBS and other checks appropriate to the post. Tove Learning Trust is an equal opportunities employer.
Please note strong applications may be considered on receipt.
