Teacher of Design Technology/Second in Department

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic teacher of Design Technology and Engineering to join our team of dedicated Art, Design and Technology teachers.  The successful applicant must be able to teach Technology to KS3 and KS4, and Engineering to KS4 and KS5.  There is an opportunity for a suitable candidate to be the second in the ADT department, with a TLR 2a (£2,790)

This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding.  In 2019, 72% of our KS4 cohort achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, and 52% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths.  The school’s Progress 8 score was +0.26,  and the gap between disadvantaged and other students closed significantly for the second successive year, with the Progress 8 score for Free School Meals Ever 6 students being +0.04.  In KS5, we achieved 56% A* - B and 79% A* - C, an average grade of B- and a positive progress measure.
