Teacher of Design Technology

Nestled in beautiful and spacious private grounds in a North East Derbyshire village, Mount St Mary’s College is staffed by a community who are genuine in their compassion and commitment to the needs of the student. We have an opportunity for an outstanding Design Technology Teacher to join the Art and Design Department at Mount St Mary’s College, one of North Derbyshire’s most successful Catholic Schools. Mount St Mary’s College is an 11-18 Independent Jesuit School of over 300 pupils. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students and teachers alike, and will adopt inventive and dynamic approaches to further the success of the department.  We are looking for someone able to teach Design Technology from Key Stages 3 through to A Level, and to run the DEC programme, have an understanding of Autodesk Inventor, a good knowledge of KS4 OCR Resistant materials and A ‘Level Edexcel Product Design. The candidate will be up to date with current trends and be able to bring a focus onto iterative design for KS3. The ability to teach Art would be advantageous.

You will have a track record of success in maximising student progress across all key stages.
