Then the post of Design and Technology Teacher (Product Design) at Shrewsbury Academy is for you.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective teacher of Design & Technology with a core responsibility/skill set in Product Design.  You will have exceptional subject knowledge, a desire to grow the subject within the school curriculum, have a vision of how the subject can evolve in the future and have a proven track record for achieving academic progress through key stage 3 and onto key stage 4. Alongside all of this you will demonstrate a desire to support students through engaging Schemes of Work and Outstanding teaching. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Be able to teach KS3/KS4 DT (formerly known as product design).

• Have a vision for the future of the subject.

• Demonstrate high quality teaching. 

• Be able to use ICT/CAD/CAM in all aspects of your work and teaching.

• Have excellent administration skills and an ability to meet deadlines. 

• Have the ability to fulfill the requirements of a form tutor. 

• Have good interpersonal skills. 

• Have excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels.

• Embrace new technologies and ideas that enhance learning
