Based in our excellent Animal Care department at Broomfield Hall you will perform the role of lecturer, manager of the dog grooming salon and delivering national qualifications (ICMG and City & Guilds) and other learning programmes within a variety of settings, ensuring achievement of agreed performance and quality targets. You will be expected to strive to maintain above average success rates in all areas, using innovation within your teaching and assessing and utilising e-learning opportunities where appropriate. The successful candidate will have proven experience of running a dog grooming salon for a minimum of 12 months, providing outstanding support for learners and will be flexible, self-motivated and dedicated to student achievement and quality. You will take an active part in, recruitment of learners and supporting the work experience that learners undertake as part of their course as well as ensuring that all college and awarding body standards are met including ICMG and City and guilds.
During your day you could be required to deal with a challenging student, a salon client and plan activities with another member of your team, therefore it is important that you can deal with a wide range of people, be efficient, effective and productive and have excellent communication skills and an organised approach to your work.
