Job overview

Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment. Our stated goal is to be a +1 school for progress and as such, we are looking for a highly motivated, professional and well qualified teacher to join us in our mission.

As a Music and Performing Arts Specialist school, we are committed to the teaching of Drama but as yet have not appointed a drama teacher.  This is a unique opportunity to create something outstanding, joining a team that is establishing a new school as we enter our third year.  The role will initially be split across Drama and English but as we grow year on year, it will become more focused on Drama.

We are committed to your professional development, as both teacher and leader. As a growing school there is considerable opportunity for career development both within the school and across the Cathedral Schools Trust.

Applications are welcome from newly qualified or experienced teachers with the ability to teach Drama at KS3, GCSE and A Level and English at KS3. For an outstanding candidate there is also the opportunity for a TLR and/or to be an Specialist Leader of Education in the Teaching Schools Alliance of the Cathedral Schools Trust.

If you would like to find out more about the school including FAQs, please visit the website at: www.trinityacademybristol.org.

Please see the attached documents for further details about the role including the job description and person specification.

Please note that we will only consider applications through TES and will not consider CVs so please ensure that your supporting statement on the application meets the requirements of the person specification. We encourage you to be succinct and to restrict your supporting statement to no more than four pages in length.

Closing date: March 4th

Interview: w/c March 15th

Cathedral Schools Trust recognises the strength in diversity. Our schools have a wide range of cultural, socio economic and religious influences and we use this to ensure that we broaden our understanding of each other and the world.  As such, we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and the post is subject to pre employment checks including, but not limited to, an enhanced DBS check.
