We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated and committed
Drama Teacher with the ability to teach Music up to KS3 as maternity cover within our Physical and Arts Education Cluster from September 2018. The successful candidate will have a proven record in teaching Drama up to A Level and Music to KS3. The candidate must have outstanding theatre knowledge and an understanding of current trends in the world of the Performing Arts.

About Burntwood - An Academy for Girls
Burntwood is a highly successful academy for girls. We are an 11-19 comprehensive school with 1800 students, of whom 400 are in our mixed Sixth Form. Many of our students progress to our Sixth Form and the vast majority then on to university and higher education.
Burntwood was rated as “Good” by OFSTED at our last Inspection in May 2016 and we are very proud to be one of only two secondary schools in London (and one of only 16 secondary schools in the United Kingdom) to have been awarded the highest level of the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award: Level 2. We also have Artsmark Gold, Sportsmark and Healthy Schools status.
We work closely with Imperial College and other higher education providers to offer CPD for a variety of primary and secondary schools, and have been awarded the Professional Development Gold Quality Mark by the Institute of Education to reflect our commitment to developing staff professionally.
