We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic teacher of Drama to join the English and Drama faculty at Eastbury Community School. The successful teacher will be joining a very well established and thriving English department and will be responsible for the teaching of Drama at Key Stages 3 and 4. The role will also involve working closely with the English department to enrich our current Drama curriculum and develop greater creative opportunities for our students.
As a department we have a long term partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company and have developed a curriculum in which Drama practices are integral to our teaching of language and literature. Our sustained relationship with the RSC enables us to offer staff high quality CPD and the opportunity to work with industry professionals. We highly value rehearsal room pedagogy and the positive impact that Drama can have on a learner’s communication, confidence and creativity.
We also work closely with the Barbican and The National Theatre to offer students enriching opportunities and regular theatre visits to support curriculum content and increase cultural capital.
The successful teacher will be joining a very supportive school environment where staff, students and senior leaders value the impact that the creative arts can have on or local community.
