Bromley High School welcomes applications from inspirational Teachers of Drama to teach part-time in our successful and well-resourced Drama department.
The ability to teach KS3, GCSE and A level is essential. Staff are encouraged to be involved in all areas of department activities from planning and rehearsals, to resources and schemes of work, to innovating and developing their own projects.
Drama at Bromley High School
Our aim within the Drama Department is to encourage our pupils’ sense of creativity and adventure. Lessons are supported by a comprehensive co-curricular programme that aims to cover all students’ needs. More recent events have included a Performing Arts Tour to New York and a large-scale production at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, and there is a range of performances at all levels of study as well as LAMDA lessons. In addition students are taken to the theatre on a regular basis to supplement their learning and understanding.
The department uses the main school hall for the majority of lessons and this is equipped with lighting and sound, curtain tracks, full blackout facility, projection equipment and a self-contained stage. In addition there is an equally well-equipped drama studio that houses mainly GCSE and A level lessons.
