MPS/UPS

“Pupils are polite and show respect to each other as they calmly move around the school site”

“Leaders have a strong moral purpose to match the curriculum to the pupil.” Ofsted January 2018

If you are seeking a life in the country with easy access to Oxford, London and Birmingham, The Warriner School is the ideal location for you. We are situated in the North Oxfordshire village of Bloxham, only a five minute drive from the historic market town of Banbury.

We also benefit from a 120 acre working farm which is utilised for teaching purposes across the whole range of subjects.  This is also the platform for our sixth form students to prepare for careers in the veterinary field with past students being offered university places based on this alone.

As part of the Warriner Multi Academy Trust we offer excellent opportunities for career progression and CPD. We have a very supportive ethos and as such our community looks after each other, both staff and students.  Student behaviour across the school is very good and students are encouraged to reach their full potential by our dedicated staff.

The Warriner School enjoys a good reputation locally, with dedicated colleagues and enthusiastic students. Staff have high expectations for all students and work enthusiastically to continue raising attainment and achievement.

As a consistently oversubscribed, expanding school we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of Drama to join our thriving and successful team. We would welcome applications from those keen to work with enthusiastic and well-motivated students and help continue our legacy of ‘above national’ results.

The successful candidate will be required to take the lead for Post 16 Drama teaching with support from the Head of Department alongside KS3 Drama teaching.  Knowledge of the Eduqas specification would be advantageous – with specific focus on Trojan Women and Accidental death of an Anarchist – Dario Fo. There may also be an opportunity for some KS4 teaching of Live Theatre analysis where appropriate.

The department is experienced in the support and training of newly qualified teachers and recognises the importance of professional development. We are a dynamic department who believe in cross curricular work, peer mentoring, and pushing boundaries creatively and would welcome applicants who feel they could contribute to this journey.

A job description and application form is available from our website: https://www.thewarrinerschool.co.uk/vacancies or Mrs Trish Morgan, PA to Headteacher at recruitment.4007@warriner.oxon.sch.uk

Please note we can only accept CVs as supporting documentation when submitted along with a fully completed school application form.

All schools within the Warriner MAT are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment.  The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Closing Date: Monday 25th January at 1pm

Interviews will be held, via Teams, on Thursday 4th February
