Values and Vision

King’s School is an ecumenical Christian school, but welcomes staff and students of all faiths or none. Its four core values are love, forgiveness, respect and responsibility, demonstrating its strong upholding of religious values as well as its focus on creating students who are valuable contributors to the modern outside world.

The school's curriculum is strongly centred on English and maths, providing a firm foundation for the other curricular and extracurricular topics that it offers. Its religious studies lessons across all years help to encourage the understanding of Anglican as well as other mainstream Christian traditions.

Ofsted

“Governance is excellent. Governors use their wide-ranging skills to the best advantage of the school. They know where the best teaching resides and provide very effective challenge and support for school leaders. Students’ behaviour around the school and in lessons is [also] excellent. [They] are polite and take pride in their appearance [and] progress is tracked carefully so that effective action is taken to support students at risk of falling behind.” Ofsted 2015

The school had a short Ofsted inspection in December 2018 and maintained its good rating (from June 2015) with a recommendation that the school receives a Section 5 inspection for its next inspection due to marked improvement since 2015.
