Drama is a popular choice at both GCSE and A Level with highly regarded school productions eagerly supported by the whole school. The curriculum programme is complemented by visits and performance opportunities including an exchange visit to Italy each year.

School Information: Ashlyns is a thriving school with a rich heritage. Our Georgian style building was constructed in 1935 as a foundling hospital. It was originally built to provide for the most vulnerable in society and we are immensely proud that our school still emphasises traditional values of respect, honesty and hard work. These values, combined with high expectations, innovation and creativity, mean that Ashlyns is a school which encourages and helps students to develop and make the most of their abilities and interests. Ashlyns expanded from an upper school to a full secondary school in September 2013. There are approximately 1200 students on roll including 200 students in the Sixth Form. The school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in September 2014, is focused on rapid improvement in results with the aspiration to be rated outstanding at our next inspection.
