King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking a dynamic, well-qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge and a real passion for their subject. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a strong team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life, including support for extra-curricular clubs, festivals and performances. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for a Newly Qualified Teacher.
Drama is highly successful at our school, with all students having weekly Drama lessons throughout Key Stage 3. GCSE Drama is popular with our students; we have a strong track record of success at Key Stage 4 and Post-16. The school is likely to expand over the coming years so this is an opportunity to join us as part of a growing curriculum area, but in the coming year we are looking for a candidate who is also willing and able to teach Religious Studies at Key Stage 3.
We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach across the age and ability range over time, including GCSE and A-level courses.
