Due to a maternity leave, Outwood Academy Bydales seeks applications from applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.

The predecessor Bydales School was in special measures and joined Outwood Grange Academies Trust in February 2015. Since then the school has rapidly transformed. In 2017 we achieved outstanding results of 85% 4+ and 75% S+in English and Maths. placing the academy top in the North East. A PS of +0.65 placed students third in the North East for progress since primary School.

We are an Outstanding, 11-16 academy based in the picturesque coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the stunning North York Moors National Park. We have been part of the Outwood family of schools since 2014.

We are proud that Outwood Academy Bydales is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and in its latest report, Ofsted noted that ‘staff morale is extremely high’ at the academy and that with help from other members of the Outwood Family, we provide our staff with a varied training programme.
We have also won numerous awards as a school and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.
