Horizon International School in Dubai is an established, thriving community that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum of England in Primary and Secondary. Students take a combination of IGCSE and GCSE at the end of Key Stage 4 leading into A Levels thereafter. Since our doors opened in September 2008, the school community has rapidly grown and we now have approximately 950 students with ages ranging from 3 to 18 from over 45 different countries.
For September 2017, we are looking for a well qualified and talented Secondary Drama teacher to complement our current team. We are looking for an individual who is able to teach consistently to an exceptionally high standard, focused on student progress and who fully supports the importance of developing positive relationships with families.
The ability to offer an additional subject, particularly in one of the following areas would be a distinct advantage - English, French, Media or History.
A leadership post may be available for the right candidate.
We offer a spacious, well-resourced learning environment, with enthusiastic, motivated students and supportive families.
We require a teacher who is:
- A dedicated practitioner who strives to provide the very best learning opportunities they can for their students;
- Professional both in their appearance and conduct and fully committed to the life of the school;
- Open minded and flexible, willing to contribute ideas and fully support the strategic vision of the school;
- Hardworking, with the desire to make a difference and go the extra mile.
It is important that candidates applying to the school possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude and are effective team players. Recent and relevant UK experience is advantageous but not essential. In return, the school provides a competitive salary package commensurate with the post.
The successful candidate will benefit from furnished accommodation, private medical cover, flight allowances, end of service gratuity and an attractive tax-free salary. In addition, there will be a significant commitment to supporting the development and career goals of the successful candidates.
Potential candidates are welcome to visit the school if possible. Please contact Mrs. Gregory (PA to the SLT) to organise a visit with the relevant member of the Senior Leadership Team.
