Values and vision

Sackville School offers all students the skills and knowledge to achieve their full potential and succeed in a modern and ever changing society. The  school encourages students to demonstrate kindness and good behaviour at all times and has a strong partnership with parents. It wants everyone to work together to give children the best possible chance of success, with the motto: “Together we achieve”. The school was awarded Unicef’s Rights Respecting Award and  students get involved in extra-curricular activities - ranging from sports clubs to community projects, at a local, national and international level.

Ofsted

“The behaviour of pupils is good. In the great majority of lessons, students’ behaviour is exemplary and they work very sensibly in pairs or groups and study hard. The good curriculum offers all students the chance to succeed with adapted subject options for low attainers and some students with special educational needs. Visits to a Forest School are very successful for those who find mainstream lessons difficult. Others benefit from extra time spent on English and mathematics or, in Year 10, a work-related programme. The latter reflects the school’s strong promotion of equality of opportunity and its firm anti-discrimination stance”.
