The Drama department at Hinchley Wood School is a vibrant and exciting department with an ever-increasing uptake at GCSE and A Level, lots of extra-curricular opportunities both in performance and backstage and a wide range of trips and enrichment activities are on offer to students who enjoy Theatre and creating Drama. For more department information, please see Page 7-8 of the attached Application Pack.

We are keen to appoint someone who is energetic, passionate and committed to Drama, open to new ideas and works well as part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team. Hinchley Wood is a very popular school, which is oversubscribed each year, we have over 1,400 students on roll including 275 in our Sixth Form. We are one of the top 200 performing schools in England and Wales in terms of the progress our students make between the end of Key Stage 2 and their GCSEs. We are extremely proud of our students’ academic achievements but we also celebrate student progress and development in all areas and we enjoy outstanding sporting and creative achievements. We take staff and student wellbeing very seriously and have invested time and money in ensuring that all members of our school feel supported and happy.

Hinchley Wood School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school based in Surrey, for students between the ages of 11 and 18. It gained academy status in 2012 and multi academy status in 2019 - Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.  In October 2019 Hinchley Wood Primary School joined the Partnership.
