This post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher. 


The Ongar Academy has an excellent academic record, a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of staff, and high expectations of student behaviour.  The school was inspected in 2018 and was described as Good overall and Outstanding in some categories. We are part of the Bridge Academy Trust which as an exemplary record of keeping staff welfare at the heart of its work. The post has arisen due to the expansion of The Ongar Academy to include a Post 16 provision – Ongar 6

The successful candidate would be required to teach up to and including GCSE in TWO of the following three disciplines (Food Technology; Art or/and Resistant Materials

ADT are highly valued subjects in the curriculum.  The ADT facilities are outstanding as The Ongar Academy is a new build. The successful candidate will be joining a very supportive team. 

The ADT Faculty consists of 5 members of staff; who are dedicated to realising the potential of all students and have been highly successful in doing so.  In 2020 we are expecting students to be making strong progress way above national averages 

The post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.  NQTS teach a reduced timetable and participate in a thorough induction programme which is led by an Assistant Headteacher.
