Tes is supporting the appointment of a DT Teacher at a Secondary with sixth form school in Crayford.
The school are looking to appoint an outstanding DT teacher with a Hospitality and Catering specialism. The Art & Design Technology Department is a successful and popular subject area within the Academy. They are now seeking a new member of the team with the enthusiasm and drive to teach Hospitality and Catering alongside DT and to help support the development of the department further.
Their ideal candidate is one who has excellent subject knowledge and a determination to ensure the pupils they teach are able to make demonstrable progress. If successful, you will be joining a dynamic team which offers a wide range of disciplines including Art, Photography, Design Technology and Hospitality and Catering. The ability to also teach Art or another DT subject would be advantageous.
The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities. You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm and passion for your subject.
