The highly-valued Business Department at Wycliffe is one of the school’s busiest and most diverse, offering GCSE, A level and BTEC courses as well as a bespoke syllabus for international language students. It is central to our educational philosophy and is an essential component in our offer to parents and pupils. 

We are seeking a well-qualified teacher to join our excellent team from September 2020. If you can offer Business and / or Economics teaching to A level, plus a contribution to the department’s significant extracurricular offer, this is just the post for you. Full time staff are expected to play a full part in the pastoral life of the school, including Boarding duties. 

School accommodation may be available for up to two years for a suitable full-time candidate prepared to contribute additional Boarding duties in return.

About Us

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
