Job overview

The school seeks to appoint a  teacher of Economics and Business from September 2018.  

This is a full time vacancy but applications from candidates who can only offer a part-time role will also be considered. Please indicate clearly in your application whether you are interested in a full or part-time position.  

Economics is taught at both A Level and as part of the IB and Business is offered from Year 10 as a GCSE option through to A Level in the Sixth Form. The ability to teach Economics at A Level and the IB is desirable but not essential and prior experience of the IB is not required.

The school may be able to offer subsidised rental accommodation in Old Portsmouth.

PGS is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

ISI Report 2022

During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
