Arden is a truly exceptional school at the heart of the community and the peak of academic excellence. Situated just minutes off Junction 5 of the M42 and only 3 miles from the town of Solihull, visitors are astounded by our confident and articulate pupils. The warmth and trust between teachers and students is exemplary, as is the constant drive to achieve maximum personal and academic potential.
In every way, the Economics and Business Department mirrors the aims and beliefs of the school. All staff work hard, supported by a committed management team, to provide a safe and encouraging environment for learning. Arden pupils love to acquire new knowledge and skills; our teachers relish the opportunity to deliver engaging, challenging lessons to committed pupils.
Economics A level is a choice for all sixth form pupils and is very popular indeed. It is superbly resourced and tailored perfectly to the needs of teachers and students. GCSE Business and BTEC Business are offered as options in the KS4 curriculum. Outstanding engagement and progress is reflected in the significant number of pupils opting to take Business at A level. Achievement is well above the national average. With enormous pride we watch a significant number of our students leave to study Economics, Management and Business-related degree subjects at Russell Group universities.
Opportunities don’t arise very often to teach at a school like Arden. If you would like to be considered for a career with us, we will need you to facilitate outstanding pupil outcomes across the whole age and ability range. The Academy provides CPD opportunities, childcare vouchers, pension and a cycle to work scheme. Few other places offer the chance to simply teach motivated pupils devoted to learning.
