Teacher of Economics and Business Studies

The two year contract offered includes flights at beginning and end of contract, generous baggage allowance, a very competitive salary, 50% Medical Aid, housing, gratuity and a 13th pay cheque at the end of each year. Applicants for these posts must be suitably qualified and able to teach to A2 level. Experience of BTEC BS would also be useful.

We are seeking a dynamic teacher who is willing to add value to the Humanities Faculty and contribute fully to the outstanding extra-curricular programme on offer at SAIntS. We welcome applications from teaching couples (please see our other vacancies) as well as families and individuals.

About St Andrews International High School

St Andrew’s International High School is a mixed, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding in Malawi, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Blantyre has over 500 students on record, from over 30 different nationalities. 

St Andrew’s International High School welcomed its first pupils in 1938. The secondary school follows the British curriculum, adapted to a Malawian context. In Year 9, students work towards their IGCSE exams or BTEC level 2 qualifications, followed by A levels or BTEC level 3. The school holds title as the first BTEC School in Africa. Facilities include a recording studio, radio station, library, swimming pool, sports courts and dedicated teaching blocks.
