Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Economics to join a High School based in Bromley.

The role

The High School is looking for a full time or part time Teacher of Economics to join their thriving Economics and Business Department.

You will deliver engaging and stimulating Economics lessons to students, working with other members of the department to ensure that pupils can access a high standard of learning. You will also contribute to the department's vibrant co-curricular programme, which includes an annual Economics conference, external competitions, and workshops, as well as overseas and domestic trips.

You will be a creative, dynamic and inspirational teacher, with a strong degree and an excellent track record of Economics teaching. You will also be a flexible and approachable individual, who is willing to play a key role in the co-curricular activities of a busy school. They welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced teachers.

The Economics and Business Department 

The department prides itself on challenging pupils academically and supporting them to achieve their very best. They offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including overseas trips to New York and San Francisco, as well as domestically, overseeing production, marketing and human resource facilities at companies including Jaguar Land Rover, JCB and Toyota UK. They offer a range of support and enriching opportunities including lunchtime clinics, pupil led societies and assistance with the construction of UCAS subject specific personal statements.

About the High School

The High School is a consistently oversubscribed, academically selective girls’ school with 900 pupils from 4-18, occupying a 25-acre parkland site in leafy Bickley, in Kent. In 2018, the school was recognised by ISI as a centre of excellence for training and development of new teachers.
