Job overview
Teacher of Economics
September 2025
Part time or full time, depending on your preference.
This is a great opportunity to work in a popular, dynamic, and very successful Economics and Business Studies Department, with an experienced and outstanding teacher and leader who is very warm and supportive. The department teaches innovative lessons that inspire intellectual curiosity and provides inspiring enrichment opportunities to the most rewarding students you will meet. The girls achieve impressive academic results with good numbers regularly moving on to study related subjects at university.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate teacher who will enable the girls to achieve their personal bests, whilst helping them flourish and love Economics. There is the opportunity to teach some aspects of Business Studies if you wish but this is certainly not a requirement. We would welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers and can offer one of the friendliest, most supportive and close-knit staff communities in Bucks! We can offer full time or part time (0.8) and would also welcome two part time teachers on 0.4/0.5 FTE.
What the Challoner’s High Humanities Faculty can offer you:
- Exceptional students who consistently attain outstanding results and make teaching an absolute pleasure. As our staff say, “Teaching doesn’t get better than this”
- A positive place to work with a hugely committed and friendly staff team and excellent facilities
- Excellent opportunities for professional development, including a highly regarded CPD programme.
- London Fringe allowance
- Use of staff gym; free staff yoga and fitness classes on site; staff discounts at local shops and restaurants in Little Chalfont, local theatres discounts when available, two-week October half term
- The best advert, however, for working at Dr Challoner’s High School will always be our hugely rewarding students and lovely, community-minded staff – this is a genuinely great place to work!
