Teacher of Economics

University College School Senior SchoolCamden

We are looking for a full-time Teacher of Economics to join a popular department at this leading London day school.

UCS is a notably successful academic school with a distinctive ethos and an enviable reputation for pastoral work as well as for sport, music, drama and other co-curricular activities. We have also recently completed a major school development project.

Economics is a very popular Sixth Form subject option, with examination results to match. There are usually over forty pupils studying Economics in each year of the Sixth Form, and many of them choose to study the subject at universities, including Oxbridge and other Russell Group institutions. The ability to teach a second subject may be a strong advantage for the ideal candidate.

Applications are equally welcomed from experienced and newly-qualified teachers. UCS offers a statutory induction programme for NQTs and its own salary scale which is well above that of the maintained sector. This post may also be suitable for a new entrant to the profession who does not currently hold a teaching qualification; UCS offers full training towards Qualified Teacher Status.

Please visit http://www.ucs.org.uk/vacancies to download our application form and send a completed copy to recruitment@ucs.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 12pm on Thursday 23 September 2021.

Please note that we reserve the right to interview candidates before the stated closing date; we would therefore welcome early applications.

UCS is fully committed to the safeguarding of children. All applicants for this post must be prepared to undergo child protection screening.
