The Academy Trust requires for September 2017 an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Economics, to join a successful, innovative and supportive Department with high expectations and achievements. The successful candidate must be able to teach A-Level Economics.

We are an outstanding Catholic comprehensive school for boys with a mixed Sixth Form (roll 990; mixed Sixth Form of 390) and have a track-record of high academic performance: in 2016, 87% of our pupils attained 5 or more GCSEs with grades A* - C (including Mathematics and English) and 83% of A-Level pupils received A* – B grades. The successful candidate will possess excellent subject knowledge and will be able to work well as part of a team.

This post would suit someone with experience or an NQT, for whom a full induction programme is provided. He or she will be fully supported in their career and professional development. The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea regards teachers as priority key workers for nomination to shared-ownership housing.

The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is a highly successful and oversubscribed Roman Catholic comprehensive school for boys, with a pan-London intake and mixed Sixth Form. It was graded outstanding in its most recent Ofsted report and was recently named The Sunday Times Comprehensive School of the Year 2018 and London State Secondary School of the Year. 

Location

Conveniently located halfway between Shepherd’s Bush and Holland Park tube stations, the Vaughan is situated within the leafy surroundings of London’s prestigious Holland Park and is within easy walking distance of Holland Park gardens, Westfield shopping centre and nearby Notting Hill. Both stations are served by the Central Line, with Shepherd’s Bush Overground also running trains to Clapham Junction every ten minutes.
