We are seeking to appoint a part-time teacher of Economics from September 2023 to inspire our sixth form pupils. We would welcome applications from motivated Economics graduates who are new to teaching, as well as from qualified teachers. This post would also suit an experienced colleague looking for a new challenge.
Person Specification
Essential:
- A genuine interest in Economics as an academic discipline
- A good degree in Economics or a related subject
- An interest in supporting pupils with their applications to competitive higher education institutions in Economics and related disciplines
- A desire to enrich the intellectual experience of pupils beyond the exam specifications by supporting pupil involvement in challenges, competitions, and societies relating to Economics
- An ability to work well with others
- Excellent communication, organisation and listening skills
The following would be advantageous:
- Prior experience of teaching Economics or a related subject in a secondary school environment
