About Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College

Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College is a mixed, non-denominational sixth-form college, based on a single-site campus close to Northwich town centre in Cheshire.

The college's main purpose is to provide A-level courses for full-time students aged 16-18.

Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College dates back to 1557 when Sir John Deane, rector at St Bartholomews in London, set up a charitable trust and gifted the land on which the first school was built. The institution moved to its present site in 1908. In 1978, what was then a boys’ grammar school became a co-educational sixth-form college.
