The WMG Academy Trust Board are seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and aspirational Teacher of Engineering at WMG Academy for Young Engineers, Solihull.

The WMG Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic person who will work in partnership with parents and employer partners to deliver outstanding lessons in Engineering. You will assist in the promotion and development of inclusive learning and teaching throughout the Academy in order to give students every opportunity to achieve their best.

WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 14-18. The secondary school, situated in Solihull is a University Technical College (UTC), led by businesses and a university.  Partners at WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull include The University of Warwick, WMG, National Grid, Rolls Royce and Jaguar Land Rover.

WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull opened in 2016. There is also another WMG Academy in Coventry, which opened in 2014. The Academy has purpose-built learning facilities, including dedicated engineering equipment and professional working spaces substituting classrooms.

It is the Academy’s aim that students become excited by the engineering industry, and the curriculum company-led projects to ensure that students are gaining a valuable and relevant learning experience. From the business dress to the longer working day, as well as opportunities to work with companies on real-life projects, parents see their child’s confidence grow and their employment potential soar. Students are offered a wide range of enrichment activities to gain additional skills and enhance their time at the Academy.
