Job overview

Welding at Derby College is going places!  The engineering industry in Derby is both world renown and nationally significant and we are now in an exciting position to recruit a Teacher of Engineering (Welding) to join our expanding, dedicated team. We have high ambitions for what we want to achieve for both local and national employers in the welding sector and, by delivering a range of industry co-designed qualifications and short courses from level 1 to level 4, we can ensure Derby maintains its rightful position as leading supplier to the welding industry.

Our welding courses range from full time students and apprentices to supporting current welding professionals to maintain and further develop their skills to reflect the ever increasing demand in industry standards. These include UCAS approved Welder Certification, CSCS Welder Cards and a variety of bespoke courses to meet individual business needs.

We are looking for industry professionals who have a genuine passion for welding, are relentless in their pursuit of quality and want to help shape both the current and future workforce of Derby and beyond in the Welding sector.

You must be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Welding and we are also happy to support candidates who are looking for their first opportunity in a teaching position if they have the right industry experience and qualifications and are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
