Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements.

One of the largest schools within Aberdeenshire (current roll 1197), we are a non-denominational secondary school set in the picturesque coastal town of Stonehaven.

We have a long tradition of providing an excellent all round education for all our young people. This tradition continues with the school achieving consistently high levels of attainment in certificated examinations. We are listed in the Sunday Times as being one of the top 50 performing schools in Scotland.

We are also recognised for providing a rich breadth of experiences beyond the subject curriculum which helps develop the whole child. The academy has an outstanding record of success both locally and nationally in achievements which include sport, music, public speaking, enterprise and citizenship. Pupils are encouraged to fulfil their potential and enjoy learning through a wide range of curricular and extra curricular activities available over lunchtimes or after school.

Our strong links with the local community are very important to us and a weekly column of information about the school's achievements and news is published by the local newspaper.
