Opened in September 2012, we are a small, growing school and ambitious for our students, seeing each individual as unique with their own strengths and needs. Saxmundham is a confident and happy place. Our students receive excellent pastoral care and support in a small school setting. Our staff members know each of their students as individuals.
We are seeking a talented Teacher of English and Drama to join us. You must be committed to raising the standard of our students by creative and engaging teaching.
There is also an opportunity to get involved in Enrichment which takes place on Wednesday afternoons, where you have the opportunity to help enhance students' learning with an extra-curricular activity. Some current examples are horse riding, computer coding, debating and CCF.
You will help nurture the potential in every student, inspiring and developing them to ensure they succeed. If you are passionate about your subject and want to work in an environment where you will really make a difference, Saxmundham Free School is the place for you.
Why join us?
We provide a happy and supportive work environment, with high expectations of staff and students, together with a competitive salary based on skills and experience.
You will have access to promotion opportunities and superb professional development across all our free schools. Suffolk is a beautiful county, with access to London for the occasional night out or theatre trip. Very close to the coast, with countryside walks and excellent food and drink.
