The school is on a journey to be outstanding and therefore, we wish to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of English with specific responsibility for the coordination and teaching of our EAL curriculum, as well as being part of the dynamic delivery of language development within our SEND curriculum.

 

ESOL / RWI Fresh Start / EAL teaching experience is highly desirable, however not essential. The successful candidate will teach across the ability range at key stage 3 and 4 with strategic coordination of the language development teaching within our EAL and SEND curriculum.

 

Applicants must be able to inspire our students, be an excellent role model and contribute to a team focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed and passionate about their subject and supporting students’ ability to access and progress successfully through our English and EAL curriculum.

 

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity you will need to be:


·      A dedicated and motivating classroom practitioner who will be creative and innovative in your teaching approaches.

·      Able to deliver consistently engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons that ensure the progress of all students, regardless of their ability.

·      Confident in their subject knowledge of English Literature and Language.

·      Have experience or a willingness to effectively differentiate the English curriculum and other interventions for EAL / SEND students.

·      Role models of the school’s ethos.

·      Have a strong work ethic, fully committed to the progress of our students.
