We are looking to looking to appoint an inspiring teacher of EAL to start September 2021, to work in this successful and popular department. The department teaches students aged 13-18 and provides instruction in B2 First for Schools / FCE, IGCSE ESL, IELTS, IB English B, CAS and ToK.
The main role of the EAL Department is helping to ensure a significant, noticeable and measurable increase in the English language proficiency of students for whom English is not a first language. The aim is for all students to achieve excellence in English and be able to transition well into their chosen field of work or study. Equipping students with the linguistic skills they require is a fundamental role, as a large number of students in the school use English as a second- or additional language. In order to achieve this, various modes of support are offered in conjunction with curriculum instruction.
To be considered, you will be an ambitious, talented and inspiring teacher, passionate about EAL. You will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate our ambitious and hardworking students.
This is a full-time, permanent post, available from September 2021, suitable for an experienced teacher or a highly motivated newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement.
