Teacher of English as an Additional Language

Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate is a forward looking Independent Foundation of four schools with 1750+ students aged between 3 – 18 years. Boys and girls are recruited from the UK and internationally and many live on campus. We seek to recruit an experienced and well-qualified teacher of English as an Additional Language, to work within our International department. The successful candidate will have experience of preparing students for GCSE English Language, PET, First Certificate and/or IELTS qualifications. The ability to deliver lessons that engage and enthuse to achieve rapid progress is essential. 

The successful candidate will have:

• experience of teaching Cambridge Preliminary, First      Certificate and IELTS programmes of study 
• a CELTA, DELTA Diploma qualification 
• a secure knowledge and experience of the subject and      effective strategies for communicating this to students.
• the ability to relate well to children and adults, and as      part of a team
• knowledge of using ICT to support learning
